15+ Electromagnetism Books for Free! [PDF]

Science is one of the most important and developed topics in our virtual library, because we know that scientific phenomena surround us incessantly.

In this opportunity, we present to you a selection of electromagnetism books in PDF format that will help you to get into its study.

This is a very relevant discipline in the field of physics, since almost all physical forces of everyday life are the product of electromagnetism, such as gravity and light, to mention two examples. Learn the fundamental concepts of this branch of physics with our books on electromagnetism in PDF format.

Electromagnetism, as mentioned above, is the branch of physics that studies electric and magnetic charges, as well as the interaction between them. As a compound word, it has two meanings from which its etymology is derived.

Electricity was a word created by William Gilbert in the 16th century from the Greek word elektron. And the word magnetism is believed to have arisen from the area of magnetized magnetite deposits in Turkey.

In 1820, Hans Christian Oersted discovered the effect of an electric current on the behavior of a compass. From this event, electromagnetism as a discipline was born.

Between 1864 and 1873, James Clerk Maxwell discovered the mathematical equations that describe the nature of magnetic and electric fields. Maxwell’s equations demonstrated: how an electric charge creates an electric field, how currents generate magnetic fields, and how changing a magnetic field creates an electric field.

Some basic concepts about electromagnetism today are: electric field and magnetic field, electric charge, electromagnetic induction, magnets and electromagnets.

If you want to know more about this topic, we invite you to take a look at these more than 15 electromagnetism books in PDF format that we leave you in this section.
